WOW. You’re here at registration. Welcome aboard! Before you continue to the form, allow us to introduce ourselves:
WHO ARE WE? An ensemble of 30 9th-12th and advanced 7th-8th graders from Greensboro, High Point, and beyond. INSPIRO is for EVERYONE. Our motto, “We’re more because you’re here,” is a short summary of our values. Because of who you are — your voice, your background, your identity, your experiences — our choir and community are more than we could ever be without you.
WHAT DO WE DO? This season, we’re thrilled to continue a number of performance traditions with the addition of new opportunities as well. Performances include the MANC Gala, NCA&T University Choir collaboration, Festival of Lights, Peace Haven Community Farm, a summer trip to Charleston, SC, and more. it’s going to be a great year.
THE HIGHLIGHT of our regional performances this year includes two very special events. The first being a collaboration with the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. The second being the return of our big event, the NC Triad Choral Festival at the Carolina Theatre featuring 200+ singers from across the region. Again, we can’t wait for you to join us this season.
COMMITTING TO INSPIRO means committing to rehearsal. You can join for the whole season, a single semester, or a single quarter (by special request). Refer to the season calendar and check your availability before committing.
SHOUT OUT to Music Academy of North Carolina! By hosting our rehearsals in their fantastic spaces each week, they make our work possible year round. Check out their website for all your music lesson needs!
WHAT DOES IT COST? Without fundraising, grants, and donors, our September-May programming would cost over $650 per student. Thanks to our supportive community, INSPIRO tuition is $150 per semester or $250 annually — less than half the cost of similar programs in our region. This can be paid monthly or in a lump sum.
INSPIRO is for everyone, and no one will be turned away. Contact us regarding tuition waivers and needs-based scholarships.
